From 14 to 21 May the staff of the magazine Kitesoul and Kitesurf Sardinia School run the first edition of Sardinia Kite Camp Trip, a thrilling on the road trip to discover the legendary kite spots of south west Sardinia: Chia, Porto Botte, Is Solinas, Porto Pino and going up to the wave riding temple Oristano.
It’s a juicy offer for who want to discover the best and “untouched” Sardinian kite spot, test the new equipment from Cabrinha, Naish and RRD and the Hydrofoil, and live a journey into the unexpected!
The concept
Usually a kite camp is based only one spot just in front to the lodging..it’s cool, comfortable..but no adventure, nothing new to discover.
Our concept is a on the road trip chasing the wind and the best daily kite condition using as playground the coastline from Cagliari to Oristano. All transfers are made with our vans, so you just need to put your gear in the trunk and we take care the rest.
According to the forecast and the average riding skills of the group, our kite guide, Alessandro choose the kite camp itinerary.
Everyday is a new spot, a new discovery, a new adventure.
Wind and kite spots
Sardinia is famous for the wind, along the coastline the trees grown bent by the wind.
Our destination, the south west Sardinia, is very well exposed to the most frequent wind directions: Maestrale (NW), Sicrocco (SE). We made a spots selection to offer you an incredible playground: lagoons with super flat water, deep flat-chop water, and waves for any sizes.
The lodging and services
The lodging for the Sardinia Kite Camp is the agriturismo Su Meureddu, sited in Tratalias. It offers comfortable room with private bathroom, air-con, a great breakfast and exquisite traditional cuisine. The spot guide is the Alessandro Ferro, founder of Kitesurf School Sardinia. You can test the latest equipment from Cabrinha, Naish and RRD and the RRD Hydro Foil. It’s possible to have advanced kite lesson and equipment rental.
David Ingiosi, iko instructor, avid kitesurf traveller and general director of Kitesoul kite magazine, will be part of the team, doing amazing photoshooting and report live “what’s going on” on the magazine blog.
